What the GG1547S is
What you get is an oversized square front that covers a lot of face. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as recycled acetate. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The colour code is 002, Gucci's own name for this finish.
Reading the size
Written on the inside of the temple as 50-24-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 50 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.
The brown lenses
Brown lenses are fitted. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
