SL914: shape and build
What you get is a curved wraparound front that follows the face. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the gold lettering logo on wide temples. The colour code is 001, Saint Laurent's own name for this finish.
Will it fit?
This is a one-piece shield, so the lens width of about 99 mm is the span of the whole lens, and the bridge figure is nominal. The temples are 115 mm. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.
