The GG1502S at a glance

Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is recycled acetate, per the supplier. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. The branding sits on the lens. Look for the gold metal plaque on temple. Colour 001 is how Gucci labels this version.

Size and fit

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-18-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

Through the lens

The lenses are grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
