What the SFI184 is
The photos show a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the red and white logo on temple. The colour code is 0BLA, FILA's own name for this finish.
How it fits
Written on the inside of the temple as 53-19-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 53 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.
The grey lenses
Lens colour: grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
