SFI547: shape and build
In the photos the FILA SFI547 is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. FILA files this colourway as code 560722.
Reading the size
Written on the inside of the temple as 56-15-147, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 56 mm across the lens this is a large frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.
Lens colour and finish
The lenses are brown gradient. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
