The ZS24149S at a glance

What you get is a squared-off take on the aviator, with a flatter brow and straighter sides. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a double-bar bridge, with adjustable nose pads. The frame material is metal, per the supplier. A metal front is thinner and lighter on the face than acetate. Metal temples with acetate tips complete the frame. The colour code is 403, Zeiss's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

It measures 56-18-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 56 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

What the lens does

Blue gradient lenses are fitted. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.

Other colours of the ZS24149S

The ZS24149S is also listed here as 070 (Satin Gunmetal with green lenses). Shape and size are the same; only the finish changes.

From the supplier's shelf to your door

The pair is new and authentic Zeiss, and the box, case and cloth are the brand's own where Zeiss includes them. It is packed by our supplier and shipped free anywhere in the US, usually one to two business days after the order, with a tracking number sent to you. You have 30 days from delivery to return it unworn in its packaging for a refund less our return label; a defect, the wrong pair or transit damage goes back free within 7 days.
