Translucent blue, cut thick
The FT1083 is a heavy front in a see-through teal blue. The acetate is thick enough that the colour deepens at the brow and the outer corners and goes almost clear where the rim thins around the lens. The shape is geometric rather than round or square: the brow runs flat and then climbs into a pointed outer corner on each side, the lens openings are squared with softened lower corners, and the bridge is a plain flat bar. TOM FORD is etched in the upper outer corner of the right lens, a gold-tone metal T marks each hinge, and the wide temples carry the same translucent blue through to dark tips.
The roviex mirror lens
Roviex is Tom Ford's name for a light brown tint.
