The SL461BETTY, front to temple tip

What you get is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. Saint Laurent files this colourway as code 015.

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-18-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 54 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.
