What the SL276MICA is

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. Colour 058 is how Saint Laurent labels this version.

Reading the size

The size is 55-16-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 55 mm is large for a sunglasses frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The brown lenses

Brown lenses are fitted. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
