The MUB14SU at a glance

Seen front on, this is a curved wraparound front that follows the face. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the cutout vertical logo on temples. The colour code is 25N70M, Miu Miu's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

Temple length is 125 mm. Lens and bridge widths are not in the supplier's data for this one. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.

Through the lens

The lenses are black. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
