MARC796/S: shape and build
What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. Colour 0R9S9O is how Marc Jacobs labels this version.
How it fits
The size is 55-19-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 55 mm across the lens this is a large frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.
