What the MARC763/S is
What you get is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. Colour 0FWM9O is how Marc Jacobs labels this version.
Reading the size
It measures 55-20-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 55 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.
Lens colour and finish
Dark grey gradient lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
Other colours of the MARC763/S
We also carry the MARC763/S as 01EDGB (Green with grey azure lenses) and 00UCHA (Red Havana with brown gradient lenses), the same frame in other finishes.
