The MARC659/S, front to temple tip

Seen front on, this is a geometric front with angled edges. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The supplier lists the frame material as plastic; in the photos the front has the look of acetate. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The branding sits on the lens. The detail that stands out is the raised lettering logo on temples. Marc Jacobs files this colourway as code 0086HA.

How it fits

The size is 53-21-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 53 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

Through the lens

Lens colour: dark blue gradient. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
