The KC1414 at a glance

Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as plastic, though in the photos the front looks like acetate. Reading the size

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-17-150, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

Lens colour and finish

The lenses are smoke gradient. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
