KC1401: shape and build

In the photos the Kenneth Cole Reaction KC1401 is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as plastic, though in the photos the front looks like acetate. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the dual front metal rivets. Colour 52N is how Kenneth Cole Reaction labels this version.

How it fits

Written on the inside of the temple as 53-18-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 53 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

Lens colour and finish

Green lenses are fitted. A green tint sits between grey and brown: natural colour with a touch more contrast. An even, flat tint. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
