FRIDA/G/S: shape and build

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The colour code is 0086HA, Kate Spade's own name for this finish.

Will it fit?

The size is 54-17-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.

Lens colour and finish

The lenses are brown gradient. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.

Same frame, other colourways

The FRIDA/G/S is also listed here as 08079O (Black with dark grey gradient lenses), 0C9A9O (Red with dark grey gradient lenses) and 0PJP9O (Blue with dark grey gradient lenses). Shape and size are the same; only the finish changes.

Shipping and returns, plainly

New stock, not display pieces: each pair comes sealed in Kate Spade's packaging with the brand's case and cloth where supplied. Within the US it ships free, usually one to two business days after you order, and the tracking number is emailed to you. Thirty days to return it, unworn and in its packaging, for a refund minus the label we send; anything defective, wrong or damaged in transit goes back at no cost within 7 days.
