A closer look at the BRIA/G/S
The photos show a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier's data says plastic for the frame, while the photos read as acetate. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the metal spade emblem on temple. Colour 0086HA is how Kate Spade labels this version.
Reading the size
Written on the inside of the temple as 55-19-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 55 mm across the lens this is a large frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.
