The AMBERLEE/S at a glance
What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. The colour code is 01NRHA, Kate Spade's own name for this finish.

Written on the inside of the temple as 55-20-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 55 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own.
