A closer look at the HD00032
What you get is a round lens. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, with adjustable nose pads. Our supplier lists the frame as metal. A metal front is thinner and lighter on the face than acetate. Metal temples with acetate tips complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the straight high brow bar. The colour code is 09X, Harley Davidson's own name for this finish.
The numbers on the temple
It measures 54-17-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. The lens width of 54 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.
What the lens does
The lenses are blue mirror. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
The HD00032 in other finishes
We also carry the HD00032 as 02B (Matte Black with smoke gradient lenses), the same frame in other finishes.
