A closer look at the DG6204

Seen front on, this is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate, though in the photos the front looks like injected plastic. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the blue 3d logo lettering on temples. Colour 501/80 is how Dolce & Gabbana labels this version.

Reading the size

Temple length is 145 mm; the lens and bridge widths in the supplier's data for this pair look wrong, so we leave them off. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

The blue lenses

The lenses are blue. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. An even, flat tint. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
