A closer look at the CK24511S

Seen front on, this is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the faceted beveled frame edges. Colour 835 is how Calvin Klein labels this version.

Will it fit?

The size is 52-22-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 52 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

Lens colour and finish

Lens colour: brown. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
