A closer look at the BV1012S

Seen front on, this is a squared-off take on the aviator, with a flatter brow and straighter sides. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a double-bar bridge, with adjustable nose pads. Our supplier lists the frame as metal. A metal front is thinner and lighter on the face than acetate. The frame is finished with metal temples. Look for the black inlay on gold brow bar. Colour 005 is how Bottega Veneta labels this version.

How it fits

Written on the inside of the temple as 60-13-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 60 mm lens puts it in the extra large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The brown lenses

Brown lenses are fitted. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.

From the supplier's shelf to your door

You get a new pair in Bottega Veneta's own box, with whatever case and cloth the brand supplies. It is packed by our supplier and shipped free anywhere in the US, usually one to two business days after the order, with a tracking number sent to you.
