Two metals on one frame
The VE2266 mixes its metals on purpose. The rims that hold the lenses are gold, thin and squared off at the outer corners, so the front reads as a big flat-top navigator rather than a rounded aviator. Everything that crosses or extends from the rims is silver: the double bridge, where a straight brow bar sits above the bridge that actually rests on the nose, the round pins at the end-pieces, and the temples. The temples carry Versace's Greca key pattern cut into the metal along their full length and finish in black tips. VERSACE is printed small in the upper outer corner of the right lens.
The lenses
The feed describes them as blue silver mirror. In the photos they are a bright silver mirror with a light blue cast, the kind that hides the eyes completely in daylight and shows the sky in the reflection. A mirror coating sits on top of a tinted lens, so the view from inside is a neutral grey; the blue is what other people see. Treat mirror lenses gently: the coating scratches more easily than a plain tinted lens, so use the cloth and the case.
