What you get is the teardrop pilot lens that drops below the brow line. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a double-bar bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. The colour code is 52F, Tom Ford's own name for this finish.
