FT1081-N: shape and build
In the photos the Tom Ford FT1081-N is a squared-off take on the aviator, with a flatter brow and straighter sides. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat.
