A closer look at the SK6062U

Seen front on, this is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the wavy temples with crystal studs on top. Swarovski files this colourway as code 10018G.

Size and fit

Written on the inside of the temple as 51-21-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 51 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

What the lens does

Dark grey gradient lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
