What the SL761 is
Seen front on, this is an oval lens, softer than a round one. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. The colour code is 002, Saint Laurent's own name for this finish.
Size and fit
Written on the inside of the temple as 49-21-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 49 mm lens puts it in the small range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own.
