SL720: shape and build
Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the metal corner accents at hinges. Colour 001 is how Saint Laurent labels this version.
