The SL667 at a glance

The photos show the teardrop pilot lens that drops below the brow line. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as recycled acetate. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The colour code is 001, Saint Laurent's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

It measures 56-16-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. At 56 mm across the lens this is a large frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The black lenses

The lenses are black. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Polarization and UV rating are not in the supplier's data for this pair, so neither is claimed here.

The supplier ships on business days, free to US addresses, normally within two days, and tracking follows by email.
