A closer look at the SL653LEON
What you get is a squared-off take on the aviator, with a flatter brow and straighter sides. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a double-bar bridge, with adjustable nose pads. Our supplier lists the frame as metal. A metal front is thinner and lighter on the face than acetate. The frame is finished with metal temples with acetate tips. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the straight top brow bar. The colour code is 003, Saint Laurent's own name for this finish.
Size and fit
The size is 59-13-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 59 mm across the lens this is a extra large frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.
The green lenses
Green lenses are fitted. A green tint sits between grey and brown: natural colour with a touch more contrast. An even, flat tint. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
The SL653LEON in other finishes
We also carry the SL653LEON as 002 (Black with black lenses), the same frame in other finishes.
From the supplier's shelf to your door
New stock, not display pieces: each pair comes sealed in Saint Laurent's packaging with the brand's case and cloth where supplied. Within the US it ships free, usually one to two business days after you order, and the tracking number is emailed to you. Thirty days to return it, unworn and in its packaging, for a refund minus the label we send; anything defective, wrong or damaged in transit goes back at no cost within 7 days.
