What the SL214KATE is

Seen front on, this is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the silver metal corner accents. Colour 001 is how Saint Laurent labels this version.
