The photos show the teardrop pilot lens that drops below the brow line. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, with adjustable nose pads. Our supplier lists the frame as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. The colour code is 0001, Rudy Project's own name for this finish.

Size and fit

It measures 53-14-140, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 53 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

The red mirror lenses

Lens colour: red mirror. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
