A closer look at the SUNSETPLACE/S

The photos show a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. The frame is finished with metal temples with acetate tips. Colour 03KQ0F is how Prive Revaux labels this version.

Size and fit

It measures 55-18-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 55 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

The brown polarized lenses

The lenses are brown polarized. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. They are polarized, per the supplier's lens description: reflected glare from wet roads and water is cut down.
