PERI10JMAGNOLIA: shape and build

In the photos the Palm Angels PERI10JMAGNOLIA is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. Colour 1007 is how Palm Angels labels this version.

The numbers on the temple

The size is 53-18-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 53 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

The dark grey lenses

Dark grey lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
