PERI087FJUNE: shape and build

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The colour code is 1007, Palm Angels's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

Written on the inside of the temple as 50-19-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 50 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.

Lens colour and finish

Lens colour: grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
