A closer look at the PERI064RIVERSIDE

What you get is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a keyhole bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the raised monogram on temple. Palm Angels files this colourway as code 1207.

The numbers on the temple

It measures 52-20-140, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 52 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

What the lens does

The lenses are dark grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
