A closer look at the PERI061SSALTON

Seen front on, this is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the metal accent line across brow. The colour code is 1007, Palm Angels's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

The size is 52-21-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 52 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

Through the lens

Dark grey lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
