The PERI051SGILROY at a glance

Seen front on, this is an oval lens, softer than a round one. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. Colour 0107 is how Palm Angels labels this version.

How it fits

Written on the inside of the temple as 50-20-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 50 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.

The dark grey lenses

Dark grey lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
