A closer look at the PERI027SDOYLE

In the photos the Palm Angels PERI027SDOYLE is an oval lens, softer than a round one. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the two-tone black and white layered frame. Palm Angels files this colourway as code 0107.

How it fits

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-22-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

Lens colour and finish

The lenses are grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
