The MOS173/S, front to temple tip

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The colour code is 00869K, Moschino's own name for this finish.

The numbers on the temple

Written on the inside of the temple as 53-22-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 53 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The green shaded lenses

Green shaded lenses are fitted. A green tint sits between grey and brown: natural colour with a touch more contrast. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.

What you get, and how it ships

Nothing is opened or handled before you: a new Moschino pair in the brand's own packaging, with case and cloth when the brand includes them. It is packed by our supplier and shipped free anywhere in the US, usually one to two business days after the order, with a tracking number sent to you. Change your mind within 30 days and send it back unworn in its box; the return label we email is deducted from the refund. A defect, wrong item or damage on the way is returned free if reported within 7 days.
