What the MOS166/S is

The photos show a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the yellow logo plaque on temples. Colour 02W8IR is how Moschino labels this version.

Reading the size

The size is 55-20-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 55 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

What the lens does

Lens colour: grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
