MIS0236/S: shape and build
In the photos the Missoni MIS0236/S is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. Missoni files this colourway as code 0G3IHA.
