What the MIS0197/S is
The photos show a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the patterned temples with chevron accent. The colour code is 01ED9O, Missoni's own name for this finish.
