A closer look at the MIS0178/CS

Seen front on, this is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, with adjustable nose pads. Our supplier's data says metal for the frame, while the photos read as a mix of metal and acetate. It has metal temples with acetate tips. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the magnetic clip-on with gold chain. Colour 00003X is how Missoni labels this version.

Reading the size

It measures 55-17-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 55 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

What the lens does

Clear with pink doubleshade clip-on lenses lenses are fitted. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
