The MIS0151/S, front to temple tip

The photos show a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as plastic, though in the photos the front looks like acetate. The frame is finished with acetate temples. Look for the gold-tone chain accessory. Colour 0AY0DG is how Missoni labels this version.

Reading the size

Written on the inside of the temple as 53-22-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 53 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.

What the lens does

Violet gradient lenses are fitted. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
