A closer look at the MM0090

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier's data says plastic for the frame, while the photos read as acetate. It has wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the sculpted beveled browline. Colour 47G is how Max Mara labels this version.

How it fits

It measures 54-18-140, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The brown mirror lenses

The lenses are brown mirror. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
