A closer look at the MO0108

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. It has acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. Max & Co files this colourway as code 52F.

How it fits

The size is 51-18-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 51 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

Through the lens

The lenses are brown gradient. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.

The MO0108 is also listed here as 25A (Ivory with smoke lenses) and 01A (Shiny Black with smoke lenses). Shape and size are the same; only the finish changes.
