L6026S: shape and build

Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a keyhole bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the translucent blue frame with textured inner temples. The colour code is 410, Lacoste's own name for this finish.

The numbers on the temple

It measures 51-20-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. At 51 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

The brown lenses

Lens colour: brown. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
