IM0120/S: shape and build

Seen front on, this is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the gold dot rivets on front and temples. Colour 08079O is how Isabel Marant labels this version.

Will it fit?

The size is 52-25-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 52 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

What the lens does

Lens colour: dark grey gradient. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
