What the HG1312/S is

In the photos the Hugo HG1312/S is a geometric front with angled edges. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the red interior and temple stripe. Colour 0807AO is how Hugo labels this version.

Will it fit?

It measures 53-17-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. A 53 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

Lens colour and finish

Lens colour: red mirror. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
